Tasmania, The Dream that was never a dream - Sam

A shimmering boardwalk streaks across the sunlit ocean. Tasmania comes into view and the temperature rises. A Hammock is weaved between two glorious palm trees overlooking the most magnificent view of a crystal clear waterfall. Night falls and I dive into the luxurious hammock and gaze up at the twilight sky. My eyelids become as heavy as bowling balls and then… I'm out.

  1. Hi Sam, I really loved your piece of writing. It was very descriptive and had a great range of adjectives used. I liked how you used 'my eyes were as heavy as bowling balls' instead 'I shut my eyes'. I'll definitely be using that simile in my own writing. Next time you could elaborate on what you're talking about - ex. what colour the hammock was. How long did it take you to write this?
